Womack Votes to Pay All Department of Homeland Security Personnel
Washington,
March 27, 2026
WASHINGTON, D.C.—March 27, 2026… Today, Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) voted for the House amendment to the Senate amendment to H.R. 7147. This bill provides for a continuing resolution for the Department of Homeland Security through May 22, 2026. Congressman Womack said, “We should not be picking winners and losers when it comes to securing our homeland. Today’s stopgap measure is neither a permanent fix nor does it provide long-overdue, updated levels in funding, but it does fund the Department of Homeland Security in its entirety—a proposal that ensures all of the department’s hard-working federal workers are paid and ultimately protects the American public.” Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011. He is a member of the House Appropriations Committee. ### |
