WASHINGTON– Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 3441, The Save Local Business Act: “Today, the House united in bipartisan support toward protecting our nation’s small businesses. Throughout the Obama Administration, the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) continuously placed itself in the middle of the employer-employee relationship. Doing so undoubtedly hindered the ability of small businesses and local employers to properly serve their communities. The bill that passed today will prevent future overreach of the NLRB and eliminate the burdensome and unnecessarily complicated joint-employer standard. I was proud to cosponsor this critical piece of legislation.”
Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
