Congressman Steve Womack released the below statement via Facebook and Twitter regarding the 375^th Anniversary of the National Guard.

Congressman Womack retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard with rank of Colonel in 2009 after 30 years of service.

    “Now more than ever, the National Guard’s role in our nation’s defense is critical. 

    “Throughout its history, and certainly since 9-11, men and women in our National Guard have answered the call of their nation time after time, in difficult operational environments, losing life and limb for the freedoms we all enjoy.  As a proud former Guardsman, Happy Birthday, and thanks for what you do for all of us.”
