Washington, DC—October 25, 2023…Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today voted to support H. Res. 771. He is a cosponsor of the measure, which expresses the U.S. House of Representative’s support for Israel as it defends itself against the heinous attacks launched by Hamas and other terrorists.

Congressman Womack said, “The House is back to work. Job one is to display our strong support for our friend and ally, Israel, as they defend themselves from ruthless terrorists. I’m proud we passed my cosponsored resolution to condemn the barbaric attacks from Hamas and affirm our unrelenting support for Israel. Standing with Israel is America’s moral and strategic obligation.”

• Cosponsored a bill and signed a letter to freeze the $6 billion to Iran.
• Cosponsored the House-passed Fight and Combat Rampant Iranian Missile Exports Act, which imposes sanctions on Iran’s missile program.
• Cosponsored the Stop Harboring Iranian Petroleum Act, which imposes sanctions on foreign ports and refineries that process petroleum exported from Iran.
• Voted for $3.3 billion in FMF to Israel and $500 million in missile defense co-production.
• Cosponsored the U.S.-Israel Partnership and Abraham Accords Enhancement Act, which takes policy steps toward a continued formal Israel-U.S. security relationship.
• Spoke out in support of snaping-back sanctions on Iran and opposing the original Obama Iran Deal and President Biden’s appeasement of Iran.
• Cosponsored a resolution to condemn Hamas’ brutal terrorist attack in Gaza into Israel and the taking of and threats against hostages and demands that Hamas immediately release and safely return the hostages.
