Womack Statement on President Trump’s State of the Union Address

WASHINGTON, D.C.— February 24, 2026…Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the following statement in response to President Donald J. Trump's State of the Union address to a joint session of Congress and the American people. Congressman Womack said, “In the past year, President Trump has achieved measurable progress in securing the border, reducing the flow of lethal drugs into our communities, expanding American energy production, strengthening national security and global leadership, growing our economy and labor market, and easing inflation. There is still work to be done to address years of weak leadership and misguided policy, but if the past year is any indication, we can expect continued transformational efforts aimed at improving the lives of all Americans now and in the years ahead.” Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011.
