Womack Elected to Ninth Term as Chairman of West Point Board of Visitors

WASHINGTON, D.C.— February 23, 2026… Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) was reelected today to serve as the Chairman of the West Point Board of Visitors (BOV). The United States Military Academy at West Point BOV is charged with providing independent advice and recommendations on institutional matters, including morale and discipline, curriculum, instruction, physical equipment, fiscal affairs, academic methods, and other issues.

Congressman Womack said, “I am honored and privileged to be reelected as Chairman of the West Point Board of Visitors. Nothing inspires me more than seeing young men and women come to West Point and commit to the rigorous 47-month experience that develops them into officers of character in the greatest Army in the world. The cadets at West Point—including those from Arkansas’s Third District—are exceptional individuals who have chosen service over self, and ensuring their success strengthens our Army and our nation. I am thankful to my fellow Board members for this honor and the opportunity to continue serving alongside them.”

Womack was first appointed to the BOV in 2012 by Speaker John Boehner and subsequently elected BOV Chairman in 2017. He is currently the only congressional representative from Arkansas to serve on the board.
