Womack Votes to Advance Pro-Growth Agenda
Washington,
April 10, 2025
Washington, D.C. — April 10, 2025… Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) voted today to concur in the Senate Amendment to H. Con. Res. 14 – the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Resolution. The resolution contains reconciliation instructions for House of Representatives and Senate committees to produce legislation to advance a responsible, pro-growth agenda. Congressman Womack said, “Concurring in the Senate amendment to the House budget resolution is step two. We’ve set the procedural conditions for committee markups to achieve our goals. I look forward to a final product that extends President Trump’s tax cuts, invests in our national and border security, and responsibly tackles some of our mandatory spending problems. We have a historic opportunity to pass pro-growth policies for Arkansans – let’s not miss that opportunity.” The Senate amendment makes no substantive changes to the original House-passed reconciliation instructions for House committees, simply adding flexible reconciliation instructions for Senate committees. To advance the reconciliation process, the House and the Senate must pass identical budget resolutions. |
