Womack Congratulates Tontitown on New Fire Station

Tontitown, AR—January 27, 2024…Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) joined the City of Tontitown today in celebrating the grand opening of the new fire station. This 12,547 square foot facility was built to accommodate overnight shifts, a 24-hour, 365 day a year service, and full-time staff. Womack was a guest speaker at the event.

Congressman Womack said, “Congratulations to Tontitown on their brand-new, state-of-the-art fire station! The great people of Tontitown have responded to the needs of this bustling and growing town with this top-tier facility, which will take care of our courageous firefighters so they can do their job protecting us. A special congratulations to Fire Chief Krug on his official new role, and a big thank you to our firefighters who day in and day out answer the call to serve to keep our community safe.”

The new station broke ground in November 2022 and covers everything within the Tontitown city limits. The facility has the most up-to-date cancer preventative technology, a climate-controlled workshop, individual rooms and bathrooms, a gym, and a full kitchen.
