Womack Hosts U.S. Military Service Academy Day Events

Rogers, AR—April 22, 2023… Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) is hosting two U.S. Military Service Academy Day events for high school students from the Third District today. Students have the opportunity to speak with representatives from the U.S. Military Service Academies and learn more about the application, nomination, selection, and appointment processes.

Congressman Womack said, “Preparing the best and brightest young men and women for careers as military officers is one of our nation’s most important functions. Recruiting the top student leaders in my district to the country’s service academies is one of my most important jobs. Academy Day is the forum we use to educate and inspire these students for future military service. It’s always a source of pride for me to see these young people compete and qualify for admission. Our nation is well-served by the cadets and midshipmen who hail from Arkansas’ Third District.”

Congressman Womack held the first event this morning in Fort Smith at Southside High School. The second event will be at Rogers High School from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT.

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011. He is a member of the House Appropriations Committee.
