Womack Statement on the Families First Coronavirus Response Act

Washington, DC – March 14, 2020….Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the below statement on the passage of the Families First Coronavirus Response Act, bipartisan legislation that enhances novel coronavirus (COVID-19) response efforts. The measures are supported by President Trump and build on actions taken by Congress and the Administration to keep Americans safe and fight the spread of the COVID-19: “The American people deserve nothing less than a coordinated and comprehensive response to the challenges we face. Tonight’s package builds on actions already taken to further enhance our capabilities to address the coronavirus threat on all levels. During this time of uncertainty, increasing access to tests and supporting the well-being of families and workers is the right way forward. In the weeks ahead, President Trump and Congress must continue to work in tandem to ensure Arkansans and our communities are properly equipped to combat this virus.” Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011.
