Womack votes YEA for the Right to Try Act

WASHINGTON — Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 5247, the Trickett Wendler, Frank Mongiello, Jordan McLinn, and Matthew Bellina Right to Try Act of 2018, which improves access to experimental medications for terminally ill patients:

"By allowing terminally ill patients who have exhausted all options to try experimental - but potentially life-saving - treatments, we're giving them a hopeful chance at life. Arkansas was the seventh state to embrace Right to Try legislation, and I am eager to grant all Americans the same opportunity."

Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011. He serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on the Budget and is a member of the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees.
