Womack Statement on the Passage of the Common Sense Nutrition Disclosure Act of 2017

WASHINGTON — Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after the House passed H.R. 772, the Common Sense Nutrition Disclosure Act of 2017

“As I have traveled throughout the Third District, I have heard repeatedly from small businesses across the spectrum of the suffocating impact of Obama-era regulations. With President Trump, this Congress has worked tirelessly to provide job creators some relief, and today, we’ve done so for local restaurants, grocers, and convenience stores by rolling back a nearly 400-page rule for something as simple as menu-labeling. I am proud to have cosponsored this commonsense legislation and look forward to its implementation.”

Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011. He serves as the Chairman of the House Committee on the Budget and is a member of the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees.
