Womack Votes to Avoid Shutdown

WASHINGTON– Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after the House voted in favor of a short-term funding extension:

“While there is still disagreement in the spending priorities of our nation, I am glad we were able to move the debate past the holidays.  The Congress, however, has a number of major issues pending and the workload in January will prove to be a heavy lift.  I am anxious to return to Washington following Christmas with my family to finish work on the 2018 appropriations.”

Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
