WASHINGTON– Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released today the following statement after the House agreed to H. Con. Res. 71, the fiscal year 2018 budget resolution- Building a Better America: “The budget that the House agreed to today is a responsible plan, a plan geared towards helping working families and small businesses across America. We must begin to move in a direction of financial fortitude and stay committed to giving our future generations a country that is sustainable and thriving, full of endless opportunities. Building a Better America unlocks pro-growth tax reform by allowing the House to move forward with our plan to make a simplified tax code. As a member of the Budget Committee, I am committed to following through on our promises and am proud to have supported this legislation from conception.” To watch Congressman Womack’s full remarks on the House Floor in support of H.
