Womack Votes in Support of the Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act
Washington,
September 14, 2017
Congressman Steve Womack (AR-03) today voted for the passage of H.R. 3354, the Make America Secure and Prosperous Appropriations Act. This omnibus bill provides funding for the 12 annual appropriations bills through Fiscal Year 2018. After passage, Congressman Womack released the following statement: “This omnibus funding bill makes clear the House’s priority of finding regular order through finishing all twelve of our appropriations bills for the upcoming fiscal year. This funding invests in federal programs that have proven to keep Americans safe and successful and does so with Republican priorities and fiscal restraint meant to ensure our economy will grow. My colleagues and I on appropriations have worked diligently to bring these final eight bills forward. I am proud to see this package voted out of our chamber.”
Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
