Womack Votes YEA for the Defense of the Nation

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-03) today voted for the passage of H.R. 3219, the Make America Secure Appropriations Act. 

 

This omnibus bill provides funding for four of the twelve total appropriations bills: (1) Defense, (2) Legislative Branch, (3) Military Construction and Veterans Affairs, and (4) Energy and Water Development through Fiscal Year 2018. 

After passage, Congressman Womack released the following statement:

“As a member of the House Appropriations committee, I am proud of my colleagues in the whole of the House for passing the Make America Secure Appropriations Act. This legislation provides critical funding for our national security at home and abroad. It is a humbling privilege to represent the Third District of Arkansas in doing my part to provide for the common defense of our nation.”

 


Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
