Womack Statement on the Fiscal Year 2018 Department of Defense Appropriations Bill

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the below statement on the Fiscal Year 2018 Department of Defense Appropriations Bill:

"Today, I joined my colleagues on the House Appropriations Committee in voting to send the Fiscal Year 2018 Department of Defense Appropriations Bill to the House floor for a vote. It is an important next step on the road to restoring badly-needed readiness, building the foundation for modernization, and providing our service members with the benefits they so badly deserve. As the world’s finest military strives to adapt to the many emerging threats around the world and ensure liberty exists for the next generation, it is a great privilege to provide them with the necessary training, resources, and stability that keeps their focus downrange."

Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
