Womack Responds to President Trump’s First Address to Joint Session of Congress
Washington,
February 28, 2017
Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) tonight released the below statement in response to President Donald J. Trump’s first address to a joint session of Congress:
“For the past eight years, Republicans in Congress have fought to protect the conservative values of our center-right country. And tonight, I was proud to sit on the House Floor as our new ally in the White House – President Trump – addressed a joint session for the first time and outlined his plans to realign our country with our values. From finally enforcing our nation’s immigration laws to making it easier for companies to do business domestically and defeating ISIS once and for all, I am excited to work with President Trump to implement his aggressive agenda to make America great again.” Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget. |
