Womack Votes to Cut Red Tape, Promote Growth

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after House passage of H.R. 5, the Regulatory Accountability Act of 2017, which includes the texts of six previously House-passed bills – the Regulatory Accountability Act (H.R. 185-114), the Separation of Powers Restoration Act (H.R. 4768-114), the Small Business Regulatory Flexibility Improvements Act (H.R. 527-114), the Require Evaluation before Implementing Executive Wishlists (REVIEW) Act (H.R. 3438-114), the All Economic Regulations are Transparent (ALERT) Act (H.R. 1759-114), and the Providing Accountability Through Transparency Act (H.R. 690-114):

“For the past eight years, America’s job creators have been desperate for relief from the endless stream of regulations coming out of Washington that continue to stunt their success and ability to grow. The 115th Congress is wasting no time delivering long-awaited alleviation from the Federal Government’s regulatory restraints to create more opportunity and build a stronger America.”

Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
