Womack Supports FY 2017 NDAA Passage

Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after supporting House-passage of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year (FY) 2017 (H.R. 4909):

“In a world that is more dangerous and more complex than ever before, it is critically important that we ensure our military remains the best trained, equipped, and supported in the world.  The FY 2017 NDAA is the first step to fulfilling this goal, and I am proud to have voted in favor of its passage.  In an often gridlocked Congress, this bill makes a clear and unequivocal statement to our enemies: supported by a Congress that stands united in ensuring our military can complete its mission at home and abroad, the United States remains steadfast and capable of defending herself and her allies against those who wish to do us harm.”

Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Financial Services and General Government, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
