Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after passage of the Senate Amendment to H.R. 3979, the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2015: “America is at war, and as our country faces continued uncertainty, it is Congress’s job to ensure that those who protect us from these threats – our men and women in uniform – at least have certainty from Congress. Providing for the security of our nation is one of our most important responsibilities, and I thank Chairman McKeon for his terrific leadership, which resulted in another successful year and the bipartisan passage of the fifty-third consecutive National Defense Authorization Act. The bill makes the authorizations necessary to provide our warfighters with the training and equipment they need to protect America at home and abroad, and I am proud to have supported it.” Congressman Steve Womack represents Arkansas’s Third Congressional District and serves on the House Appropriations Committee and the Defense, Financial Services and General Government, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees. ### |
