Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the following statement regarding Small Business Saturday:

“On this Small Business Saturday, patrons will visit the shop fronts that are the heart of their communities and their Main Streets, and during this time, we must be mindful that these businesses don’t just amount to a present under our Christmas tree – they are job creators, property tax contributors, and charity members that keep our local communities thriving.  As we celebrate these essential community members, let us take this time to do the right thing and support the Marketplace Fairness Act – for, unless we close the loophole that out-of-state online businesses enjoy, these businesses could be forced to close their doors forever.”
