Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement after the passage of H.R. 5078, the Waters of the United States Regulatory Overreach Protection Act of 2014:
“The EPA’s attempt to redefine ‘Waters of the U.S.’ and impose onerous new regulations on Arkansas’s farmers is outrageous, and it’s become abundantly clear that the agency will continue to act with no regard to the impact on the Natural State and our industries. I applaud H.R. 5078’s passage, which prevents this egregious overreach and gives our farmers some much-needed relief. I hope the Senate will join us in passing companion legislation.”
