Womack Announces Service Academy NominationsCongressman Steve Womack (AR-3) is proud to announce the nomination of 15 students from the Third District for appointments to the United States Service Academies. Each student nominated by Congressman Womack will go through the academies' competitive application processes. If offered an appointment, the students will join their respective academy's class of 2015. U.S. Service Academy Nominations: U.S. Military Academy at West Point Aaron Cromwell, Fayetteville U.S. Naval Academy U.S. Merchant Marine Academy U.S. Air Force Academy Background: Nominees were selected through a competitive process in which a number of highly qualified Third District students applied for consideration. Applicants were required to submit a questionnaire and three letters of recommendation in addition to completing an interview with Congressman Womack’s Third District Service Academies Interview Board.
