Congressman Steve Womack released the following statement after taking 1,608 consecutive votes during the 112^th Congress:

"I am honored to have served as the voice for Arkansas’s Third District in the U.S. House of Representatives during the 112^th Congress.  I take this responsibility very seriously and am proud to be one of six Members to have maintained a perfect voting record.  I recognize that I am extremely blessed to hold this office, to have my constituent’s trust, and that nothing has prevented me from casting my vote.  I look forward to continuing to serve Third District Arkansans in the 113^th Congress.”
