On Friday, in a bipartisan vote, the U.S. House of Representatives passed H.R. 3630, the Middle Class Tax Relief and Job Creation Act of 2012. Congressman Steve Womack voted in favor of the bill and released the following statement:

“It was a vote a lot of our conference struggled with—myself included.  The reforms to unemployment insurance and the temporary fix to Medicare payments to doctors were a big plus, while the additional pressure to the nation’s deficit is something we still struggle to solve.  However, in the end, it’s just hard to vote against people keeping more of their money.”
