Congressman Steve Womack is pleased to announce Bootsie Ackerman, as the newest addition to his staff. Ackerman will serve as the new District Director stationed out of the Rogers office.

Ackerman, a member of the Washington County Republican Women and a former candidate for the State Legislature, is no stranger to the Third District. In 1999, she was named as one of the Top 100 Women in the state by Arkansas Business. In addition to her service on numerous boards, Ackerman was the executive director of the Downtown/Dickson Enhancement Project, where she oversaw the revitalization of Fayetteville's Dickson Street and downtown square area. She is also a past recipient of former Mayor Fred Hanna's (Fayetteville) Volunteer Service Award. Most recently, Ackerman has played the role of a small business owner with Tax Concepts Inc. out of Fayetteville.

Congressman Womack released the following statement regarding his decision to bring Ackerman on board:

“Bootsie is a well-known, well-respected business professional in Northwest Arkansas and brings to our team the kind of leadership and professional skills critical to the operation of a district headquarters. She will no doubt bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the people of Arkansas’ Third District.”
