On Friday afternoon, Congressman Womack learned of the passing of Mr. Stanley Reed. Offering his prayers to the family, he released the following statement. "Today, Arkansas lost one of its finest statesmen. Stanley Reed portrayed what it means to be an Arkansan. From his service as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the University of Arkansas, to president of the Arkansas Farm Bureau, and serving on the board at Baptist Health, Mr. Reed's devotion to the state of Arkansas was unwavering. In light of his dedication to our great state, his legacy will last forever. My prayers and thoughts are with Charlene and the entire Reed family as they cope with the loss of a father, husband and great friend to all of Arkansas.”
