Womack Announces $485K Grant to Fayetteville for Sewer Project

Congressman Steve Womack is pleased to announce that the City of Fayetteville has received a $485,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to address residential sewer problems which occur when certain areas receive heavy rainfall.

Congressman Steve Womack is pleased to announce that the City of Fayetteville has received a $485,000 grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to address residential sewer problems which occur when certain areas receive heavy rainfall.

 

The money will go towards ensuring clean water systems as well as the rehabilitation of about 90 manholes in the city. 

 

Congressman Womack released this statement regarding the grant:

 

            “This grant money ensures the City of Fayetteville monetary assistance while they recover from a series of devastating flash floods. Not only will the replacement of pipes and multiple manhole rehabilitations relieve present concerns, but it will also help in preventing similar problems in the future.”
