Womack Signs Letter to Reid Calling for Action from Senate Leadership

WASHINGTON – Congressman Steve Womack has signed a joint letter from Freshmen Members of the House to Senate Majority leader Harry Reid—pressing Senate leadership to a call of action regarding the Continuing Resolution battle.

 

Congressman Womack released this statement earlier Wednesday:

    “It is time for Senate Leadership—namely Mr. Reid—to take action regarding the state of our nation’s finances. This isn’t some game to see which party has more power than the other. We were all sent here—both new and veteran members from both chambers—to work for the people of this great country and the people have overwhelmingly called for cuts in spending. The House and its leadership have worked tirelessly to address this issue—cutting billions on the House Floor and now it’s time for Mr. Reid and his colleagues to do the same.”
