Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The competition is open to all high school students in the Third District.
Each spring, a nation-wide high school arts competition is sponsored by the members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The competition is open to all high school students in the Third District.
The 2014 overall winner will be chosen by a panel of judges at an awards presentation and finalist unveiling, which will be hosted by Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) on Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum. The panel of judges will include Manuela Well-Off-Man, Assistant Curator at Crystal Bridges Museum, Dayton Castleman, Museum Manager at 21cMuseum, and Lee Ortega, Executive Director of Fort Smith Regional Art Museum. The event’s details can be found below.
This year’s submissions will be made available for public viewing beginning on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, until Wednesday, May 21, 2014, at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum. The winner’s piece will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol.
