Since 1982, the Congressional Art Competition has provided an opportunity for members of Congress to encourage and recognize the artistic talents of their young constituents. Since then, over 650,000 high school students have been involved with the nationwide competition.

I will announce the top five finalists for the Congressional Art Competition. The 2018 winner will go on to represent the Third District in the Congressional Art Competition. The winner’s piece will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol. The Patriot Award and the People’s Choice Award will also be presented.
