Womack To Hold Forum For Beaver Lake Residents

Washington, May 10, 2011 | J.R. Davis ((202) 225 - 4301)

Congressman Steve Womack will be hosting a public forum at 7:00 pm on May 17th at Heritage High School in Rogers. Beaver Lake residents are encouraged to attend.

This forum is a way for residents to get to know members of the Army Corps of Engineers in order to establish a positive and productive working relationship. With summer right around the corner, dock safety becomes an important issue and it’s imperative that both sides understand the policies that are in place.

Congressman Womack will be on hand to address concerns; however, this is NOT a debate.

PUBLIC FORUM
May 17, 2011
7:00 pm
Heritage High School
1114 South 5th Street
Rogers, AR 72756

Congressman Womack issued the following statement:

“I’ve had some feedback from lake property owners who have expressed concerns about ongoing relationships with the Corps of Engineers and felt this would be the best way to familiarize myself and my staff with issues relating to Beaver Lake.  I’ve always been pro-active when confronted with challenges involving stakeholder relationships and this meeting is no exception.  There’s no better way to problem solve than getting all parties at the table and engage in an open, meaningful discussion.”
