Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the following statement after Congressman Paul D. Ryan (WI-1) was today elected to serve as Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives:

“Congratulations to Speaker Ryan.  I am confident in his ability to unify our Conference and our House, and I am proud to have voted for him.  I look forward to working with our new Speaker to take America down a more conservative path.”  
 

Congressman Steve Womack has represented Arkansas’s Third Congressional District since 2011 and serves on the House Appropriations Defense, Financial Services and General Government, and Labor-Health and Human Services subcommittees and the House Committee on the Budget.
