Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) today released the following statement in response to the passage of H.R. 2, the American Energy Solutions for Lower Costs and More American Jobs Act:

“Capitalizing on America’s energy renaissance is essential to the security of our nation and will allow us to control our economic destiny.  But the usual politics, red tape, and quick fixes that never pan out are standing in our way.  By taking an all-of-the-above approach to our energy policy and eliminating these barriers, H.R. 2 can make this possibility into reality, and I applaud its passage and urge the Senate to act on it quickly.”
