Rep. Steve Womack to Deliver the Weekly Republican Address

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) has selected Rep. Steve Womack (R-AR) to deliver the Weekly Republican Address in honor of Independence Day.

“We Americans are blessed with a great land, economic opportunity, a matchless Constitution, and unrivaled success – July 4th is a chance to celebrate that,” Rep. Womack said. “Independence Day is also a time to reflect on the liberty and freedom of the promise of America, and as we do so, it’s an honor to deliver the weekly Republican address and share with you our promise to our nation.”

Now in his second term, Rep. Womack will deliver the address from Bentonville Square in the heart of downtown Bentonville, Arkansas's historic business district.  Womack previously served as mayor of Rogers, Arkansas, for 12 years, and retired from the Arkansas Army National Guard in 2009 after more than 30 years of service.  His decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, the Global War on Terror Expeditionary and Service Medals, and the Arkansas Distinguished Service Medal.  Learn more by visiting http://womack.house.gov.

The Weekly Republican Address will be available starting tomorrow, Friday, July 4, 2014, at 6:00 am ET on Speaker.gov and GOP.gov
