Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the following statement regarding Small Business Saturday:

“Our Main Street small businesses make a community our community, and today, Americans across the country are celebrating and thanking them by shopping small.  But our Main Streets and the futures of our communities are at stake because of a tax loophole that’s forcing more shoppers to the Internet and more local retailers to close their doors.  To ensure that our hometown stores are able to compete on a level playing field, we must pass the Marketplace Fairness Act.”
