Congressman Steve Womack (AR-3) released the following statement today in response to the Supreme Court’s ruling on United States v. Windsor:

“Despite today's Supreme Court ruling, I maintain that marriage is between a man and a woman.  While disappointed, I am encouraged that the Court recognized Arkansas's constitutional sovereignty so we can continue to protect the sanctity of marriage in our state.”
